FRIDA KAHLO
In this case study, I was tasked with creating a branding identity system and exhibition for a historic artist; I chose Frida Kahlo. To develop this mark, I researched Art Deco’s early 20th-century influence in Mexico, which eventually led to designing a bespoke typeface. I then expanded the case study to promote Gisèle Freund’s portraiture of Frida Kahlo in the infamous Casa Azul. Freund was a photographer renowned for capturing poignant moments, including some of the final images of Kahlo before her passing.
