My great grandfather, Glen, was a kind man who often said he was “Going to see a man about a dog” before leaving the house. Where he was going is lost on me now, but the phrase charmed me.
A Man About A Dog is a conceptual bar and restaurant rooted in Midwestern heritage and my family's tradition of waterfowl hunting. It's meant to feel unpretentious but never careless: a place that honors craft without taking itself too seriously.
